Last week there was a drawing competition conducted in all schools, pre-primary schools I think, by AVIVA LIFE INSURANCE PLANS FOR KIDS. We received a sheet asking to help the kid draw a picture of what he/she wants to be when they grow up. We were supposed to draw and colour it and submit in the school with the name and address details of the kid. It was mentioned that all those who have participated will be awarded with a certificate and a bat autographed by Sachin Tendulkar himself :) (Brand Ambassador of the comp). WOW!!! Actually the idea to ask the kid what she wants to be was something funny! Chinnu didnt even understand the question to give an answer. I guess many of the kids may not. Its good to ask them and make them think what they wanted to be in future so that they may think and dream about it. But the ambitions change every now and then. Like when I asked Chinnu what she wanted to be she first said doctor... then the next minute said work on computer! Then it didnt change. Well!!!! I had to draw a lady sitting by the table browsing on her desktop computer !!!! :O :P When I was a kid I wanted to be a teacher when I met Sussie Miss who pampered me a lot in the nursery classes. Then later I wanted to be a doctor when I knew that a doctor can cure any diseases with just a tablet and an injection. :) Then I wanted to be a tailor knowing he can make wonders with a piece of cloth! ( I still remember my dads jaws drop when I said I wanted to be tailor while he had bigger dreams about me!) Then I wanted to be a singer... I love songs and I admired singers. :P Then I wanted to be ...... the list goes on..... and today whatever I am, I am content with it. I am not a professional or anything, but I know I am something for some people who know that I am there with a ear to listen to them.... to console them..... to encourage them..... to make them laugh...... :) I am happy when I am successful in making anybody smile from ear to ear :D. So asking a small kid what they wanted to be makes no sense actually! But I did the task pretty well and submitted it in school. Who cares if we are going to get a bat signatured by the legend in Indian and International Cricket!!!! The great SACHIN TENDULKAR ! :D Yo Yo !!!! (Y) :D Waiting for the surprise gift !!!
