Last year i made an honest attempt at pursuing my own small business. Now at the end of that fiscal year, paying out taxes and wrapping up my earnings, Im finding that i owe over $1500 dollars back to state and federal taxes. I wish I could say what I made for the year more than pays for that, but Im finding now that after expenses, what i made was paltry. now i owe texas 10% of my total income for the year. For perspective, I earned enough to qualify for government housing assistance. Damn. This country makes me sad. I have immense respect for everyone running their own business. this shit isnt easy.
