Lately I have been approached by many members of the public asking - TopicsExpress

Lately I have been approached by many members of the public asking whats happening with my political party, and emphasiing that Zimbabwe needs something different from the traditional political parties that can bring back the trust and belief that politics can work for the people. Let me clarify a few points about this publication. I HAVE NOT FORMED MY PERSONAL POLITICAL PARTY as the attached news article suggest!. This is a typical example of some of the unprofessional methods used by some Zimbabwean journalist and news sources either to try attract readership or to misinform society by taking advantage of prominent names like my late father former President Canaan Banana. I can however point out that I have been helping this new political project Freedom Justice Coalition Zimbabwe Party try find its feet by helping them during their Administrative Structuring Phase volunteering my time and skills as a project advisor and lobbyist on a part-time basis. I currently do not see myself joining Zimbabwe politics as a candidate for any election campaign or party leadership as I am resident outside the country and have several other important personal commitments that I must accomplish first. I would however take this opportunity to to invite Zimbabweans from all corners looking for a different political platform that is built from grass-roots engagement with clear and transparent processes that are easy to understand, with no imposed leadership to give them a thought. I have found that their institutional framework has clarity in the way they are managing their meagre resources, they also have a two way relationship with their members whom they are engaging in their outreach activities. What I like most is their quest to be transparent and accountable to their members and their belief in the traditional principles of ubuntu/hunhu. I know they are currently working hard to help coordinated the implimentation of income generating community projects as very few Zimbabweans can afford a meal yet still pay the partys membership fees. Fundraising in a enviroment where people are struggling for the basics makes their challenge of becoming relevant political party in Zimbabwean politics almost impossible. If you would like to know more about this political project, join or donate to help them complete their structuring and development please email [email protected] or [email protected]. Joining a political party does not mean one is becoming a politician, there are a lot of professional roles that individuals can volunteer their knowledge and expertise on, nation building is about shared responsibilities and maximising on our strengths that we can harness from as people from diverse backgrounds. Make the right choice not the easy one...
