Lateral Raise should be performed with a weight load that allows for natural movement without jerking. For the exercise to be effective you have to rep these out. I assure you if performed correctly, the pain will be reverberating long after you put the weights down. Three muscles represent the shoulders, Anterior Delt (raises your arm directly in front of you), Medial Delt (arm raise to the side), Posterior Delt (pulling the arm back).The size of the muscle is representative of the amount of weight you should use.
