The Seventh Vietnam Economist Annual Meeting veam.org/ VEAM 2014 The Vietnam Economist Annual Meeting (VEAM) is annual meeting organized for domestically- and internationally-based economists and other social researchers to present their studies and works. This year the University of Economics Ho Chi Minh City (UEH), the Development and Policies Research Center (DEPOCEN), the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS), and the Foreign Trade University (FTU) will host the Seventh Vietnam Economist Annual Meeting (VEAM 2014). VEAM 2014 will take place on 24th June - 25th June 2014 in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. VEAM brings together social scientists and PhD students from Vietnam and all over the world to exchange their ideas on management and economics. The meeting provides an opportunity to initiate a worldwide network of Vietnamese economists and other social scientists, expand and consolidate cooperation in scientific researches. It is an opportunity for Vietnamese universities, economics and management schools, governmental agencies and companies to experience, first hand, economic and management researches of Vietnamese scholar community all over the world. The meeting will include a variety of other activities, including informal discussions, presentations by leading international economists, and honor audience. The four keynote speakers for VEAM 2014 are: 1. Takashi Kamihigashi (Professor, Kobe University, Japan). 2. Binh Nam Tran (Professor, The New South Wales University, Australia). 3. Hinh T. Dinh (Dr., World Bank, United States). 4. Yiannis Vailakis (Professor, Glasgow University, United Kingdom). The meeting is now open to registration and calling for papers (see Workshop Program, Call for Paper and Registration pages for details) Newspaper and television reporters are welcome to register for an official seat at the two-day meeting (see Registration page for details) The Call for Papers is currently open until 31 May 2014.
