#LatestNews - Witness appeal after fatal road traffic collision in Lyme Regis Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward following a fatal road traffic collision in Lyme Regis. The collision happened at approximately 3pm on Tuesday 25 November 2014 in Broad Street. A blue Ford Focus car was travelling from Silver Street into Broad Street when the driver is thought to have collapsed at the wheel. The car mounted the pavement and collided with two pedestrians before coming to rest in the shop front of Love and Wonder in Broad Street. The driver of the car, a 70-year-old local man, died at the scene. His wife, aged 75, was uninjured. The two pedestrians received slight injuries. The road remained closed for several hours while police examined the scene. Witnesses to the incident are asked to contact Police Constable Fern Graham on 101. Witnesses and anyone with information should call Dorset Police in confidence on 101 quoting incident number 25:224.
