Laudy brought up his backhoe up today and we did some maintenance around the ponds. Muskrats tunnel in the banks and make a big mess, it undermines the bank put holes for you and the dogs to step in. So I waited till fall so we do not need to mow anymore. I also took some of the bull rush and I had a few cattails. So what we did is take the dirt out of the pond. The clay is so slimy, and when you dump out the bucket you hardly need to spread it. But it was so bad in some spots it was hard to walk. So today we spent 3 1/2 hours and as you drop it out of the hoe, it almost spreads itself. As it rains it help spread it and I will take the bucket and smooth it out. It is hard to tell from the pictures but there was some big hole and now the slick wet dirt is in all the holes now.
