Leadership requires that you recognize your time, calling and destiny and shine during such times. Zambian politicians seem to be lacking in this aspect. Two examples I can give are RB and our current president. RB failed to recognize that he had 3 years to serve the Zambian people at a time of great loss. That would have been his crowning glory had he done a good job, he would be basking in our praise rather than fighting to come back again after such shame. The current president has failed to recognize his 3 month time to shine as well under similar circumstances to RB. He needed only do a good job for 3 months and lead the Zambian people to free and fair elections. Even more important is the fact that the world is watching to see what Africas first white president in 20 years will do. But alas, that is already impossible given current events...and pressures coming from unseen forces seem stronger than this destiny to lead the nation. Principles, conviction, fortitude, vision and perseverance are required leadership traits and when you falter so easily under such little pressure you will make no progress. The current crop give little confidence to me and am sure to many. Zambian leaders, where is your vision and fortitude?!
