Lent Memory: On friday nights, a bunch of my cousins and I would spend the night at my Grandma Walshs house. These nights my Grandpa would bring home a paper bag full of candy, and we each got to choose. No suckers or jolly ranchers or other tiny candy, oh no, we are talking full size candy bars. During lent one year, I had given up chocolate. I was so sad that I couldnt have any of the candy. So, my wonderful, gently, loving grandma took the Milky Way and cut off all the chocolate around it so that I could have the chewy stuff inside. One of the sweetest memories ever
