Wednesday, August 28 at 3 pm EST (Gather at 2:00 p.m.) on the front lawn of Southfield City Hall, 26000 Evergreen to ring bells around the world to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech, delivered at the 1963 March on Washington.Bring your own bell to ring. The Michigan Department of Civil Rights encourages you as part of the global mobilization to let Freedom Ring in celebrations all across the state on that day.
