Let GO of Excessive pride. – Get out of your own way! Stop judging everyone and everything. Pride is one of the greatest enemies to your happiness and growth. Open your mind before you open your mouth. Don’t hate what you don’t know. The mind is like a parachute; it doesn’t work when it’s closed. Or as C.S. Lewis so profoundly put it, “A proud person is always looking down on things and other people; and, of course, as long as you are looking down, you cannot see something beautiful that is above you.” Father. Let excessive pride not be my undoing. I want to see, and receive Your blessings which You so kindly and richly want to bestow on me. Let me be proud and humbled in the knowledge that I am your child. And that You are my Father. I thank You. Amen.
