Let me say one thing about the iron bowl. Auburn let points get away from us early and it could be argued that those points could have changed the outcome of the game. And a bad call should not decide the outcome of a game. But an entire game of officials who listen to a coaches every beckoning call, (in this case, Saban) and have obvious disregard for NCAA rules, it impacts and changes the outcome of the game. In specific, it is at the discretion of an official to throw a flag on what he feels is a penalty, but a play may not be reviewed if another play is run legally before it is whistled dead. The second play was whistled dead after the runner was tackled, making the previous play (a tie-up catch where the receiver and defensive back had joint possession, in which case the possession is granted to the receiver) ineligible for review. Its irrelevant to me that the play was reviewed correctly and that my Auburn Tigers were granted possession. That was a violation of an indisputable NCAA rule, and Tigers win or lose, the officials involved should face repercussions. Officiating as a whole in football is becoming more and more disappointing. Now that my little book is done, goodnight, and WDE
