Let me tell you a story. When Al Yankovic was to perform his parody My Bologna at Dr. Demento radio show, he was alone. Before the show he was approached by a man Jon Bermuda Schwartz, who offered to play with him as his drummer. The duo clicked and began to look for other musicians via press ads in local newspaper. By 1984 Steve Jay and Jim West joined in on bass and guitar. The four of them are touring and playing for the last 30 years. The group is visible in every video and on every concert, on every release. When in 2004, Weird Al lost both of his parents, he went on stage to play a scheduled concert - having only his band mates as support. When you hear any Weird Al song, you are not hearing just a singer/songwriter. You actually listen to a whole rock band. A legendary band at that.
