Let us give these countries the right to decide on what to do with films they deem sacrilegious. Its their land and people. I will defend their rights but I will protect my right too to watch the films I want to watch, and will take offense against anyone who deprives me this right here in the Philippines. I teach portions of Biblical Literature (Hebrew mythology) in my World Lit class discussing the subject beyond the requisite plot and character, reflecting old world constructs in these tales, noting a whole setting of metaphors which myths embody, and attempting to understand the hundreds of misrepresentations wrought by the deficient English translations and the discombobulation of history. I am not an expert of the bible, just a layman trying to sense meanings from biblical texts.
