Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may - TopicsExpress

Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need. (Hebrews 4:16 NKJV) So this morning I think back to the past 23 years of my life. Kim Hosack Higgins and I have been blessed with our four incredible blessings of God: Donovan Higgins, Spencer Higgins, Hunter Higgins, and Riley Higgins. These four young men have added to the richness of our lives in ways that mere words cannot express. Allow me to be a bit transparent here. I often jokingly tell people that we have one boy and three tries for a girl. Over the years Kim and I asked God for a girl but He said No. At times we wondered what in the world He was doing. We cried, we questioned, we were momentarily disappointed but right now, at this point in our blessed life I would not change a thing. Our testosterone oozing home with its knives, swords, paintball and airsoft guns, bows and arrows , bicycles, skateboards, scooters, hatchets, machetes, bug out bags, and various and sundry special sticks is our haven of blessed bliss!! This afternoon, however, God will add another dimension to our blessed lives. Today our oldest will marry a beautiful, sweet, and most importantly a godly young southern bell, Alaney Rain Truitt. Our lives are about to change. As I sit here and contemplate the wisdom of my father-in-law, that hind sight is 20-20 I can see a glimpse of why God did not give us a daughter of our own. If He had Im not sure we would appreciate daughters-in-love God has planned for our family. We are so very excited to welcome into our lives the first, Alaney Rain Truitt! We love you and come before the throne of God boldly as we pray Gods blessing upon your and Donovans union! TODAY IS GOING TO BE AWESOME!!!!
