What we see, perceive, hear, and expect are all illusory inputs that can be shaped and re-shaped, either by ourselves or by others; allowing each of us to experience our internal and external worlds in our own unique way. You may now be thinking of the myriad of ways in which to discount this argument; however, the transient means by which one feels any sensation alludes to the fact that: because all things can be shaped and re-shaped, your current state is just an illusion. Simply change your series of inputs, and so, too, will your outputs change. Two accounts of the same event can lead to two very different conclusions. One may feel happy about an outcome, while another may feel sad. Yet, even still, one partner can just as easily re-shape their own experience and view things from the point of view of the other. Therefore, the state of being for both individuals: was an illusion; shaped and re-shaped by their own previous experiences and assumptions. If one can just as easily shape and re-shape their own perception of reality - then what truly is real? Our choices and our actions towards ourselves and others. This could be why so many of us believe that it isn’t what you say you will do that counts, but what you end up doing. Feelings, perceptions, beliefs, and understandings; these things are all illusory, these things are all transient, these things can all be changed. In the end, it is our choices and our actions that truly matter - the one thing that we can consider: truly real. Make good choices; as it is our choices that matter the most.
