Life in the big Cities!! As I exited 35W onto 31st/Lake St on my way to work this morning, I saw a familiar scene--scruffy looking man wearing several layers of clothing getting set up for his shift on the corner. This time however, I noticed something different. He was holding a long pole with a net on the end, much like the one I used to remove debris from the top of the swimming pool back when I had a pool. It appears this device allows said scruffy man to stand his ground & reach said pole w/net towards those cars w/ people willing to place items in net to give to scruffy man wearing lots of layers of clothing! Win-win! Scruffy man doesnt get run over by cars trying to collect $$ from strangers & motorists can feel safe as they donate to total strangers.
