London PD: Media Release home invasion The London Police Department is seeking citizen help to identify two men responsible for an alleged home invasion robbery in the city in June. According to Chief Dave Wiseman, the incident occurred just before 11 p.m. on June 5 at an Elm Street apartment complex. The resident, a woman in her 60s, said she opened her rear patio door to an unknown white male who asked her to return a clothing item to a family member. The man was holding a piece of clothing. Once the door opened, the man struck the woman in the face, forced her to the floor and covered her with a blanket. A second man then entered the room and searched the apartment, taking several bottles of prescription medicine. Officers responded to a 9-1-1 call at the home. The victim was later treated for head injuries at The Ohio State University Medical Center. She described the man who knocked on her patio door as being 5 feet, 10 inches to 6 feet tall and weighing 185 to 200 pounds. He was bearded and wore a black “skull cap” hat. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact London Police Department at (740) 852-1414 or e-mail Wiseman at [email protected]. All callers may remain anonymous.
