Looking at the recent supplemental drafts, and their rather substantial impacts on fantasy tournaments I was wondering about something. It strikes me that the supplemental drafts have such a huge impact because they add a small pool of players who gms cant predict or plan for, and which have limited access because the pool is accessible only to GMs who have had a player drop. If supplemental drafts continue to be used, might it be better to have each GM draft (n-1) players in the initial draft, where n is the intended number of players, allowing each GM to participate in the supplemental to minimize the imbalance and create greater competition? Secondarily, might it be wise to have the top portion of the wait list known, particularly if all GMs are going to be participating in the supplemental, so that GMs can plan for the supplemental to a greater extent, and make it less random?
