Looking for strong, toned legs and killer glutes? Goblet squats!! Perfect way to sculpt the butt and hone your regular squats. Technique: Head and chest up, neutral spine, push through your heels, controlled tempo (Dont rush it!!) Foot stance: either wide sumo (feet 45 degrees, wider than shoulders) OR conventional stance feet in parallel, shoulder distance width. NOTE!! My foot stance in the video is very turned out and wide. This is due to years of daily ballet training and exceptionally flexible hips, adjust the stance to suit YOUR bodys needs. Common Problem: Not squatting to proper depth. *The surface of the thigh should go just below the knee joint. *To attain this depth start off with lighter weight and hone technique before stacking on the poundage. *Gain depth (and avoid back injury) by stretching!! Make it part of your daily maintenance or find a good yoga class that fits into your timetable. Ill be posting a killer leg/butt workout to slot your goblets into as well as a stretch routine for after so stay tuned!! Remember......Squat like a boss and go low!!
