Luddites. I havent seen social media deteriorate or detract from friendships, its just added additional, if less deep, ones. I still meet and do things with people in-person. But I also get to stay in touch with people Id otherwise lose contact with. Thats win-win. People like this guy only look at the latter sort of relationships and conclude that weve deteriorated, without realizing that these are relationships that wouldnt even exist at all without social media. Consider how amazing it is to be able to say that from this day forward, hardly anyone will ever again utter words such as, I lost track of them after highschool... While waxing eloquent in his lamentation over technological progress, hes become ungrateful and unappreciative of how life has actually been IMPROVED. And I use the word eloquent loosely here. I wonder how much social media is to blame for his horrid diction? - Brady Wright
