#LymeLight Update: Major accomplishments 1. I took a shower. This may seem trivial, but with Lyme, such an act can literally take every ounce of energy. The rise in body temperature also causes a die off in some of the bacteria which causes a rapid toxin release, which causes a herxenheimer reaction. By the end of my sit down shower I was shaking and my knees were weak, but I was clean. I could not walk, but I was clean. 2. Every boss and manager has been to my room today to check on my satisfaction. 3. I am about to get an MRI followed by a neurological evaluation since the Lyme is causing neurological issues. 4. My dedicated mother is still trying to untangle the web of insurance hell. If any of you are well versed at navigating the system, let me know. :-) More later. My MRI man is here, and he says its been ordered STAT.
