If I ‘am the boss will I follow the ranking file? Is our boss will bow down to us? In reality most of the people now if they are given a rank, a position, commonly they are working as it should be or base to their Job description. When I read this passage it is really amazing that the son of God will ask to baptize him by under his authority. Jesus had no sin to wash away, and yet he was baptized, where in John the Baptist mentioned in Matthew 5:8 8 Do those things that will show that you have turned from your sins. It is clear we need to be baptize because we are sinners. How humble is Jesus Christ to this, is it state of humiliation. For as human being, Indeed we will not accept our mistake if we did not commit any one or neither will not accept our mistake without evidence. It was said so, “Evidence speaks itself” This is what the people have pride. People are afraid to follow instruction especially if this will ruled us. We are reading the bible but do we follow his instruction? We have baptized but do we really follow what is the meaning of this? We go to church but we don’t know the meaning of Church. When we accept to be baptized in our church it means showing our readiness to obey all God’s righteous precepts, and to justify God and approve his counsel. This is what the Son of God did he was about to enter on his great work. It was proper that he should be set apart by his forerunner, and shows his connection with him, and gives his approbation to what John had done. He submitted to the ordinance of baptism, also, in order that occasion might be taken, at the commencement of his work, for God publicly to declare his approbation of him, and his solemn appointment to the office of the Messiah. This is showing of obedience to the authority. Whether you are the top management of the company, or the ranking file, rich or poor, we are bound to obey the God’s will, we are bound to obey his rules, and we are bound to be subordinate to the Father divine instruction. For no one can hide Matthew 3:7 (GNT) 7 When John saw many Pharisees and Sadducees coming to him to be baptized, he said to them, “You snakes—who told you that you could escape from the punishment God is about to send? We may learn from this example of Christ, that being baptized with the Holy Ghost will excuse none for contempt or neglect of baptism by water, because it is the revealed will of God, that all the members of his church should come under that ordinance; so as there is a fulfilling of righteousness in our case, as well as in Christ’s, though in a different measure. Thank you Lord, For this revelation, I know that I’m not obedient to your rules but please help me to follow you. I have accepted my baptism but I know it is very difficult to turn away from sins, My Lord I humble myself to you to please cleanse me and renew my soul. Send me your angels to guard me from committing any sins, convict me with your holy spirit so may not be able to do things that will hurt you. I love you Jesus and I pray that as I walk through my daily devotion you will walk with me. In Jesus name, AMEN.
