**MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT** SECURITY STOUSH - Which Dog has the biggest bark? James Rowe from IRONBARK Security has challenged The Hermanator Herman Ene-Purcell from Big Dog security. At night their job is to keep trouble makers apart, but come March 14 Herman Ene-Purcell and James Rowe will meet head on and no one will be there to pull them apart. The heavyweight duo will contest a four round bout on March 14 as part of the Smithy Brings the Big Fights 9 card. This one is personal, but it’s also about representing their respective companies. Herman works for Big Dog Security and Rowe is employed by Ironbark Security. Ironically through their line’s of work is how this bout came about. “One night when I was working, he came up to me and basically started baiting me,” Ene-Purcell said. “He said to me – you’re the guy that lost to Paul Gallen and Kyle Brumby so you can’t be that good. “I took no notice of it at the time. “I’m not interested in slanging matches, I just want to train hard and worry about what my trainer and my team wants from me – no one else’s opinion means anything to me. Night club banter turned into reality – Rowe issued an official challenge to Ene-Purcell’s trainer manager Brendon Smith and his challenge has been accepted. Rowe will be having his first professional boxing fight but has a background in MMA. Im coming for you Herman, James Rowe said. Get ready for the toughest night of your life. Rowe certainly hasn’t been backward in coming forward when it comes to the bout with the Hermanator. “I’ve been speaking with Rod Parry from Warwick who is training Rowe for the bout and from what Rod has told me all of Warwick is talking about the bout,” Ene-Purcell’s trainer Manager Brendon Smith said. “Rowe also works at the Killarney meat works and is well known in the area and Warwick has a history of producing champion boxers. “If his confidence is anything to go by Herman has a big challenge on his hands. “Rod said to me the other day James has a message for you – ‘back me to beat the Hermanator’. “Whatever happens I think this one will be a crowd pleaser. “Herman is on the improve, he’s scored two big first round knocks outs in his last two bouts and we have big plans for 2015. “I don’t believe the Darling Downs public has seen the best of Herman, but in his last two wins he’s starting to show glimpses of what he’s capable of. “No doubt we’ve got a big challenge in the shape of James Rowe and we won’t take him lightly,” Smith said. The fact that his opponent is a fellow security guard has added extra significance for Ene-Purcell. “The boys at Big Dog Security are like family to me, we’re close knit so yeah in some ways I feel like I’m representing them in this fight,” Ene-Purcell said. “It’s an individual sport, but this one has more of a team feel about it, Big Dog vs Ironbark. “I’m sure he’s going to want to win for Ironbark as much as I do for Bigdog. “He can talk all he wants, that’s fine. “I respect any man who wants to get in between the ropes, so I respect James Rowe and I have no trash talk for him. “All I will say is – you’ve done the talking, you’ve got the fight, the contracts are signed – DON’T PULL OUT!! “Make sure you are there on March 14 in the red corner, I don’t want to hear of any excuses. “We’ll settle this when the bell rings for round one.” FIGHT CARD SO FAR Will Young vs Luke Jackson 10x3 Australian Featherweight title Kris George vs Anthony Taylor 10x3 WBA Oceania Jnr Welterweight title Herman Ene-Purcell vs James Rowe 4x3 Heaveyweight Michael Witt vs TBA 3x3 MORE MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENTS TO BE MADE IN THE COMING WEEKS
