MAN ALLEGEDLY POSING AS COP ARRESTED AFTER PULLING OVER REAL POLICE OFFICER A Florida man who allegedly impersonated a police officer was quickly busted when he pulled over a real one who didn’t buy into the disguise, authorities said. The officer was suspicious. It just didnt seem right to her, Tampa Police Department spokesperson Andrea Davis told Fox 13. Police say Jonathan Stevens, 24, was arrested late Sunday after flagging down the officer with flashing red and blue lights on his SUV. Stevens, wearing a badge around his neck, said he was a Department of Homeland Security officer who had a Glock .45-caliber handgun and wanted to report a reckless driver, according to the Tampa Tribune . The officer discovered that Stevens’ vehicle was not one belonging to police or a government agency and Stevens later admitted he was not a police officer, the newspaper reported. He was charged with impersonating a police officer, unlawful use of blue lights and carrying a concealed firearm. Stevens was released Monday morning after posting $17,500 bail.
