MANILA (Updated 11:40 a.m.)Tropical Storm Maring is now out of the Philippine Area of Responsibility, the state weather bureau announced at 7:30 a.m. Wednesday. But the storm accelerated as it moves West Northwest at 20 kph. Maring will still enhance the Southwest Monsoon on Wednesday, which means there will still be monsoon rains on Metro Manila and nearby areas. At 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, Tropical Storm Maring (Trami) was seen at 500 kilometers northeast of Itbayat, Batanes. The cyclone continues to enhance the Southwest Monsoon currently affecting Luzon and Visayas. The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that Maring packs 105 kilometers per hour (kph)-strong winds near the center and gustiness of up to 135 kph.
