MARCH CLASSES with ONE TAKE are announced with a special - TopicsExpress

MARCH CLASSES with ONE TAKE are announced with a special offer: My partner at ONE TAKE and I have added two new dates for our on-camera one day intensive, Beyond Presence: The Key to the Stand-out Audition on March 22 + March 27. (Visit onetakeconsulting/beyond-presence/ for class details or keep reading!) We’ve been so inspired by the successes actors are having in our classes (and in the audition rooms!) that we decided to spread the love, and so... Bring a Friend to Class in March (and Save!). Here’s why bringing a friend is better-- Reason One (this one’s about work): When you bring a friend to a class (especially a class in which there is a great deal of information and new techniques to be worked on) you have a built-in work partner. Having a friend or colleague with you means you can help each other deepen your understanding of what was covered in class, and you can practice together. Having a shared language means you can push each other to do better work, challenge each other to break the habits that don’t serve you in an audition, and integrate new techniques and approaches that will get you the job! Reason Two (this one’s about money): When you and a friend take a class together this month, we will give each of you $50 off your class fee. Together, you will save $100. That’s a lot. You can use the money to rent a studio and practice together. Or, go out to dinner after the workshop and celebrate taking the right step in furthering your careers! For real. If you want to get the “Bring a Friend” discount, email us at [email protected] with the following info: 1) your full name and preferred email address 2) your friend’s full name and preferred email address 3) the class date you would like to attend (March 22 or 27) Once we hear from you, we’ll send each of you a discount code to use when purchasing the class on our website. If you want to pay by check or cash, just let us know. PS: More details about the class is below or go to onetakeconsulting/beyond-presence/ _________________________________________________________________ One Day On-Camera Intensive, Taught by Randi Glass and Kristin Tanzer Beyond Presence: The Key to the Stand-out Audition Star quality… Is it talent or technique? Do you have to be born with it, or can it be learned? In this exciting one-day intensive you will learn from casting director, Randi Glass and performance development coach, Kristin Tanzer that the key to standing out and projecting “star quality” is within your reach. This highly interactive workshop will deconstruct the qualities that make an actor outstanding, and teach you a tangible technique to get there. Designed specifically for the actor who is ready to take their work and career to the next level, this intensive workshop tackles the deeper issues facing the screen actor. Instead of focusing on broad-stroke adjustments, we will dive into the essential elements that make for an electrifying and unforgettable audition: how to bring yourself fully to a moment – with all of the subtlety, idiosyncrasy and raw vitality of a real person...on the first take. The workshop will start with a simulated on-camera audition, run by Randi Glass. Using the audition as a jumping off point, we will delve into the key elements of a powerful performance. Our focus will be on giving you concrete tangible tools that will work in every audition, whether it’s for a comedy or drama, for television or the big screen. This is a learning by doing workshop. Students will be on their feet, immediately applying the process, receiving highly individualized feedback and coaching throughout the day. We will end the day with a final on-camera audition, with feedback from both instructors. A professional reader will be present throughout the day. Students will receive a digital copy of their on-camera work following class. ________________________________________________________________ BOTH MARCH 22 and MARCH 27 WORKSHOPS ARE CURRENTLY OPEN FOR ENROLLMENT Dates: Saturday, March, 22 or Thursday March 27 10am - 6pm Location: Reel Creative Studios, 146 West 29th Street, NYC Cost: $375 or Bring a Friend Deal (this month only) and save $50 per person when you sign up with a friend. Randi and Kristin have the keys to the kingdom for on-camera auditions. Don’t sign up for a single other class until you’ve learned their secret method. --Misha Calvert, Actor There are heaps of acting classes and tons of casting director sessions, but there is so little information out there about about to bridge your work from the acting class effectively into an audition.
