MEDIA BRIEFING - Friday 21/06/2013 MALICIOUS DAMAGE - COOTAMUNDRA Cootamundra Police are making progress with the investigation into a number of malicious damage offences that took place on the Queens Birthday long weekend. At least six motor vehicles were spray painted with various offensive remarks and slogans. The motor vehicles had been parked in Sutton Street, Bourke Street, and Wallendoon Street. Two juvenile males from Cootamundra have been interviewed in relation to the damage. It is anticipated that both will be dealt with in accordance to the provisions of the Young Offenders Act. Police are continuing to investigate the matter, and urge anyone with information in relation to the crimes to ring Cootamundra Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000. THEFT OF GIANT UGG BOOT - YOUNG About 3.50pm on Thursday 21 June police received a report regarding the theft of a giant ornamental ugg boot from a shop on Boorowa Street, Young. It was alleged that a young male had been seen in possession of the fake footwear in the vicinity of a nearby hotel. Police converged on the area and conducted extensive patrols in an effort to locate the item, and / or the felon, but neither could be found. Police are examining CCTV footage, and the investigation is continuing. HIGH RANGE PCA - YOUNG At 8.55am on Thursday 20 June police stopped a motor vehicle on the Olympic Highway, Young. The driver of the vehicle underwent a breath test which proved positive. She was arrested and conveyed to Young Police Station where a breath analysis returned a reading of 0.161. The 42 year old woman from Wombat was issued a Court Attendance Notice for drive with High Range PCA, and is due to appear at Local Court on the 2013.
