MEDICAL ASSISTANT Quality Family Physicians Hockessin, DE JOB DESCRIPTION Full-time Medical Assistant Room patients (obtain vital signs, social history, preventative history and current specialists) and enter into EMR Assist with procedures (pap smears, ear flushing, minor derm, etc) Perform EKGs, Urine dips under supervision of the doctors Administer immunizations, nebulizer treatments, oxygen Prepare, clean, stock and maintain exam and treatment rooms Answer multi-line telephones Scan and attach incoming mail to electronic patient record Attach incoming faxes to electronic patient record Prepare and send medical records in accordance with HIPPA guidelines Call specialists/facilities for consults and test results Call patients with test results Basic data entry Send vaccine reporting forms to the state Perform other related work as required JOB REQUIREMENTS Must have great attention to detail Excellent computer/typing skills Maintain professional certification Ability to read, write and communicate effectively orally and in writing Ability to use good reasoning and judgment and react calmly in emergency situations JOB SNAPSHOT Employment Type Full-Time Job Type Health Care Education High School Experience At least 1 year(s) Manages Others Not Specified Relocation No Industry Healthcare - Health Services Required Travel None
