MEET DRAKE ! Drake is one very handsome boy. He is about 1 1/2 years old and weighs 60 lbs. What a beautiful face and luscious chocolate coat. Drake was an owner surrender. Lucky Lab Rescue got a call about him stating that his owner was going to shoot him. He was living in a very rural area and people do things like that. An animal advocate pleaded with the owner and took Drake food and water until we could get to him. All this because he was no longer that little cute puppy, but had grown to be an active young man and unfortunately was guilty of knocking the familys toddler over at times only because of his size. Thankfully we got him out of there in time. Drake is a super friendly boy and would be considered medium energy. He gets along great with all the other dogs and likes playing with them. We are not sure about the cats, but can cat test if needed. Drake is a young boy and needs exercise to keep him happy. He would also excel in any obedience training as he is very smart and loves to please his people. Like all young boys he likes those good boy treats and takes them very easily. He would be a great fit for just about any active family and he would be great with children. What a wonderful playmate he would be. Drake has been neutered, is heartworm negative, up to date on vaccinations including rabies and he is micro-chipped. He is also crate trained.
