MEN are gorgeous without makeup and guess what WOMEN are too. I was just bending my best friends ear about how Ive noticed that societal beauty standards for us ladies are now on the Transvestite and Drag Queen level more than ever. Utilizing makeup is not wrong, but its as if the beauty industry truly wants to blur the lines between women and transvestites and drag queens to where no one can truly tell the difference. Why the confusion? Who benefits from this? Think about it and discuss amongst yourselves. I have a feeling that a few theories may be deduced across several psychological, social, and economic lines. Ive noticed so many female celebrities and especially our young girls(our babies, the future--think about that one too) applying makeup, breast and butt implants, wigs, weaves, extensions, and nails in such an excessive way that a vast amount of women appear to be men impersonating a woman? Why? Why? Why? We see emotional, mental, and physical illnesses and even death due to this insatiable desire to be what an industry and society is marketing as desirable and beautiful. Believe me, this is in no way to protest the use of cosmetics. However, I hope my observation contributes to a thought process about self worth and beauty as not commodities, but as things that are derived from within and not purchased wholesale or retail. Moms, dads, and all human beings should encourage each other and especially our sons and daughter to appreciate who they are on the inside and also the natural beauty they have on the outside. What about this for a try? Before a young lady is allowed to apply lipstick, she should express from those lips her clear understanding of why she is absolutely beautiful and fine without it and that whether or not she has a wig or weave that the most beautiful part of her head is the brain and mind thats within it. Lets ensure she understands her body is not just a showplace for clothing, shoes, or physical enhancements, but is a gift and without any of those other things is worthy of appreciation and should be maintained in a healthy way. Now this mindset along with the use of cosmetics is truly about health and beauty. Just my thoughts.
