MONGOLIAN 48HFP 2012 BEST FILM SCREENED IN HOLLYWOOD "INTRUDER” by Absolute Pictures studio screened at the Filmapalooza Film Festival Ulaanbaaar, Mongolia was represented at the Filmapalooza Film Festival in Hollywood, California, USA in March 6-10 of 2013. "INTRUDER”, won the Mongolian 48 Hour Film contest 2012 and was screened at the historic Chinese Theatre, in the Grauman’s Theatre Complex, known for celebrity handprints set in cement. Filmapalooza this year was the 48 Hour Film Project’s 11th annual screening and awards ceremony. “INTRUDER”, was created in only 48 hours by a team of very talented filmmakers from the studio “Absolute Pictures”. This was the very first time the studio filmmakers participated in the competition. “We have been following the Mongolian 48HFP since the very first year the festival was hosted and this year we were well prepared and had big goal to win the best film and I am very and extremely happy that we have achieved our goal” said the producer G. Enkhbat during his best film acceptance speech at the 2012 Mongolian 48 hour short film festival in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia. This film is one of over 4,000 films from 115 cities around the world that competed in 2012. The winners were announced at a red carpet screening and awards party on Sunday, March 10. Cannes Film Festival in the Short Film Corner, hand picked 12 best of the best short films for this year’s Cannes Festival, including the best film from Mongolia, “INTRUDER” by Absolute Pictures studio. This is the second time film from Mongolia wins a chance to be part of one of the biggest film festivals in the world for the last three years. “INTRUDER” by Absolute Picture won the Best Film, Best Director and Best Screenplay in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia and was nominated for the best ensemble acting category in Filmapalooza. Representing Mongolia and their best film in Hollywood, CA, Director/Actor P. Delgerbayar, Producer G. Enkhbat and Director M. Tsedensodnom attended FILMAPALOOZA 2012 and were joined by 400 other filmmakers from around the world including Cape Town, Hong Kong, Prague, Osaka, Seoul, Paris, Berlin and Dubai. This year Filmapalooza, offered film marketing, how to sell your film work shop at the “W” hotel, six Hollywood and TV producer’s were available for the filmmakers to pitch their next blockbuster film ideas. The pitching session was the one of the highlights of Filmapalooza 2012 and filmmakers all around the world had a chance to make their ideas into big budget films. Another highlight of the event was he guest speaker, Director Dennis Dugan, whose films have grossed over $1.5 billion worldwide. He shared his own success stories and gave many useful advices to the filmmakers. Even after the event him and his wife stayed to talk to the filmmakers and took photos together.
