MUTASA DECLARES WAR ON PRESIDENT MUGABE TODAY, the nation of Zimbabwe woke up to witness perhaps the worst shock in its history in the form of a press statement issued by the Mujuru faction and signed by disgraced former ZANU PF Secretary for Administration Didymus Mutasa. Titled, Press Statement Issued By The Members of ZANU (PF) To The Citizens of Zimbabwe. No. 1 of 2015, and addressed to fellow comrades and friends, Mutasa, whom most Zanu PF members believe is now mentally disturbed after losing his Central Committee seat and subsequently his Politiburo post tore into President Mugabes leadership qualities, describing him as a partisan leader, a dictator and a man whose legacy as a unifier, rational thinker, national, regional and continental leader has been eroded away. In this article, I will analyse some quotes from his press statement. .....All provinces under the leadership of the ousted chairmen had unanimously endorsed Comrade Robert Gabriel Mugabe as the First Secretary and President of the Party. How can they rebel against a President they have endorsed? Mutasa knows clearly that the statement above is a blatant lie as he is well aware that he and the ousted provincial chairpersons had planned to cause chaos at Congress where they intended to surprisingly nominate former Vice President Joice Mujuru as the First Secretary and President of the Party. While it would not be a crime for one to aspire to be President of the party, it doesnt make democratic logic for a group within the party to secretly campaign for positions and buy votes when everybody else is in the dark and does not anticipate any changes to the status quo. President Mugabe did not campaign for the Presidency ahead of Congress and Cde Mnangagwa too did not campaign for any post. The truth of the matter is that Mutasa and his team had already resolved to replace President Mugabe with Mujuru and had their reasons kept very close to themselves. It is only now that the plan did not work that they are now trying to discredit the Congress with the hope that the peoples wishes can be reversed. ......this unconstitutional meeting therefore denied innocent members their constitutional right to freely elect leaders of their choice Mutasa fails to understand that once a person is elected leader by the people, every other appointment that he or she makes with regards to the organization that has given him such a mandate is deemed to have been done on behalf of the people who have elected or appointed him. As such once we agree that President Mugabe is the partys First Secretary, we should therefore not query his decisions which he makes during the course of his term of office if we are really loyal to him. The question of one-man-one-vote automatically falls away once the leader is in place. If Mutasa is saying the ousted chairpersons had agreed that Cde Mugabe would be leader, then he must gracefully accept his exclusion from the Politburo and the Central Committee because his leader of choice deliberately left him out from those party organs. He had the powers to impose him on the people as he normally did before when he appoints his own ten Central Committee choices but this time he deliberately left Mutasa out because he knew of his evil plans to unconstitutionally oust him from office through an assassination. And talking of Constitutionalism, Mutasa does not need to lecture to Zimbabweans on that subject because he is the chief culprit in causing anarchy and unconstitutionalism and he is happy with it as long as it benefits him. For example, Mutasa was the partys Secretary General when the opposition MDC was complaining of its members being abducted and killed due to political violence across the country in the recent years. He did not come out in any press statement denouncing political violence but only President Mugabe and the late Vice President John Lander Nkomo did when they said, Peace begins with you, peace begins with me, peace begins with all of us. President Mugabe even repeated it at Congress. Further, Mutasa was the Secretary General when war veterans in Mashonaland East invaded farms and killed some former white commercial farmers, a development that was used by former colonialists to impose sanctions on most party leaders and which caused a serious food security problem in the country. If Mutasa is a constitutionalist, why didnt he condemn the war veterans? Right now he is seating on a farm he grabbed from a white farmer and confiscated the former white farmers tractors, irrigation facilities and farm house. He has dished out many other formerly white owned farms to his children and friends including reserving others for his yet to be born siblings when someone like me does not even own an inch of farmland. .....Grace Mugabe went around the country preaching the gospel of hate in the presence of our very impressionable youths and the traumatized impoverished population.. The people of Zimbabwe know Grace Mugabe as a giver and a straight talker. She doesnt mince her words. She said she doesnt tolerate corruption and she rightfully described former Vice President Joice Mujuru as corrupt because she was going around amassing wealth using intimidation, extortion and other dirty tactics. Mutasa wanted her to take over the Presidency because he knew he would benefit from her corrupt tendencies. Grace Mugabe therefore is a hero in the eyes of the voiceless ordinary Zimbabweans who dared not to expose the former VPs corrupt ways for fear of jail, unfair taxation, death and other forms of victimization. Mutasa must also remember that he traumatized many young girls by giving them children which he didnt care about and even giving them diseases. He and his wife can afford to go to India to seek medical treatment but he has no courtesy to give his numerous victims a few dollars to seek medical help in local hospitals. Besides, is the population not impoverished because Mutasa and his team promoted anarchy on the farms? Is it not impoverished because of the sanctions he invited through the MDC which Grace Mugabe said was formed in Mujurus house? Whatever advise Mutasa was giving while he was still Secretary General was aimed at discrediting the party and destroying it from within, proving him to be a regime change agent. Lastly Mr Mutasa must remember that ZANU PF Chiororo. ZANU inoruma. The same system that allowed him to loot and abuse power is the same that has led to his demise. The people of Zimbabwe are saying , Go to hell, you son of the Devil. (Energy Mutodi is a member of ZANU PF).
