MY ROSE PLANT IN A POT. After a bountiful two dozen-blossom yield in Spring time, the happy plant held eleven more buds of which two fell to the leaf-eating tiny caterpillars and their teeny- weeny cousin bugs. The remaining buds were blooming in succession, and their beauty did not escape the eyes of my young lady neighbor who lives upstairs, as I was watering the rose plant and its neighboring avocado seedlings, also in pots. " Pretty flowers, " she says. I could not disagree. And there was one more bud coming out as if a blossom will be there to greet the fast- approaching Autumn.
