Magnetism We can learn a lot from observing the laws of physics - TopicsExpress

Magnetism We can learn a lot from observing the laws of physics in action. Observe a magnet for instance. If you place a small piece of carbon based steel (the most common of all steels) on a table and then place a magnet near it, the magnet will draw that piece of metal to itself. Most of us have learned that as children while playing with magnets. It doesn’t work with all metals, such as aluminum, titanium, brass and a few others. But carbon based steel, those with iron content will be drawn toward a magnet every time. But why? Why is steel drawn to a magnet? Without getting overly technical, the answer can be simplified just by saying “because of the properties of the metal”. It’s mineral composition; of what’s IN the metal that draws it to the magnet. When we apply this same principle to the question of ‘why’ are people drawn to sin, or any manner of attraction to evil, the answer is the same: because of what is in them. There are only two spiritual kingdoms in this world of which people are (knowingly or unknowingly) a citizen of (whether you like it or not); The kingdom of God or the Kingdom of Satan. Otherwise called the ‘kingdom of Light’ and the kingdom of ‘Darkness’. There are no neutral kingdoms. What deeply saddens me is when I see people who claim to be Christians continually being drawn to those things pertaining to the kingdom of Satan, and Darkness; to a kingdom contrary to the holiness of the kingdom of God. Like undiscerning children, falling into the line led by the Pied Piper’s music, they gather around things of the kingdom of darkness, captivated by its allure. They enjoy and seek out media entertainment that is violent, perverse, blasphemous, morally depraved, lustful, profane, full of cursing, witchcraft, ‘magic powers’, casting spells and having themes that are contrary to goodness, holiness and the kingdom of God. Bringing items and decorations into their homes and wearing apparel that glorifies death and the kingdom of darkness such as: occultish symbols, human skull emblems, gothic designs and references to magic & witchcraft. Calling themselves Christians they are deceived into such thinking by the false doctrines they have heard and accepted, knowing not that what they are ‘drawn to’ is just one of the many indicators of what is really inside of them; darkness. And like the steel that is drawn to the magnet because of the properties within it; so they likewise are drawn and held captive by the kingdom of Satan and the things that pertain to that kingdom. Yet how can a person tell them of these things? One can’t. Or as I read of one person’s question: “how can you tell a goat, who thinks they’re a sheep, that they are really a goat?” You can’t. Only through God’s enlightenment will they ever understand. So the answer then, is: prayer. Acts 26:18 - To open their eyes, and to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me. Here is what some of the reference scriptures have to say: Every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Every one that doeth evil hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved. But he that doeth truth cometh to the light, that his deeds may be made manifest, that they are wrought in God. This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: For what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. (James 1:14, John 3:20 -21, 1 Jn 1:5-6, 2 Cor 6:14, Ephesians 5:8, Ephesians 5:11, John 3:19).
