Mainers celebrated a smashing success last year when it became the second state in the nation to pass a bipartisan GMO labeling bill, which Governor LePage signed into law. The night before a worldwide protest against Monsanto, 71 U.S. senators – including our very own Susan Collins - voted against our Tenth Amendment states’ rights to pass GMO labeling laws. Susan Collins is going on 24 years in Washington D.C. and the Maine Republican Party has never allowed anyone to challenge her. I, along with a grass roots coalition of, by and for the people are challenging her in the Republican primary on June 10th. I am a declared candidate with the state which means you can write me in so we can vote her out. I am the founder and director of the Maine Equal Rights Center and to learn more please visit erickbennett/us-senate.html and if anyone ever has any questions about my candidacy please do not hesitate to ask. Send an email to erick@erickbennett and I will be more than happy to answer any questions you have. I got into politics because I had my rights taken away based on something I didnt do. Now I am fighting to protect your rights to keep the same thing from happening to you. Thank you, Sincerely, Erick
