Man arraigned for beating Police Inspector: A 20-year old man, Mamode Samson, has been arraigned before an Egor Magistrate Court for beating one Monday Okungbowa, a Police Inspector attached to Ogida Police Station. Mamode was also arraigned for assaulting three siblings, Jennifer Okunrobo, Uyiosa Okunrobo and Eghosa Okunrobo on December 20. He, however, pleaded not guilty to the three count charges. In a charge sheet with suit no MEG/240c/2014, Mamode was accused of beating the police inspector with fist of blows and torn his police uniform. Trial Magistrate, Taiye Omoruyi, granted the accused bail in the sum of N200,000 and a surety in like sum who must be resident within the court’s jurisdiction.
