Man finds himself, in the modern world, living under the authority of governments; and the obligation to obey their orders arises from the facts of his nature. For he is a community-building animal, driven by inherited instinct to live with his fellows. I wake up today galant and law-abiding. Glory be to the owner, the all-forgiving. I shall speak ill of no one and I will speak all the good I know of everyone. We shall all receive the goodness that await us before the end of this year. Amen.
