Many ask why did the spca pass all other inspections and fail this one. Before Cerjanec became president Mr. Gary Moore inspected the spca until cerjanec took office. Cerjanec had moore removed from inspecting the shelter and had Mr. Bruce Minnick take over. For years Bruce Minnick passed the Fayette spca with a blind eye. Many wondered why the same thing, how can this shelter pass inspection over and over. I worked for the Fayette spca back in the late 90s when Moore did inspections and I knew most of the laws and how the inspections worked and how the kennel worked as far as paperwork. I also know because of my mother running Fayette Friends of Animals how they were inspected and i compared both shelters together. So in March of this year I contacted the Department of Agriculture and with the inspection sheet in front of me, I went over every part that Minnick passed the spca on and explained it was not possible. I pointed out how nothing was done by the current kennel laws and also how it was a liability to the public. I pleaded to have a supervisor to come in and inspect the shelter. I also sent vet records of the animals I pulled from the spca along with any paperwork I received from the shelter. I pleaded to them to help the animals and if not then i would go to our state governor. To end this i am proud to say Mr. Bruce Minnick will be retiring as a Dog Warden.
