Many times I have referenced my 3rd solo album - Nightmare @ 20,000 Watts - from 2008 in posts. I even spent 5 years performing songs from it with help of my co-horts Todd Miller and Lawrie Ingles (including Chicago). Truth is there are fewer than a dozen people that have ever heard the whole album. I was never able to press it on CD due to cash issues and the lofty premise of this concept record. Its about the death of Top40 radio. It was created to immitate the final hour of the final show of the final Top40 radio station in the world. An imaginary transmitter in the Beaufort Sea called CRCK-FM. Robert Segarini is the hapless DJ, Dzheyd Dunlop as the traffic and news reporter and the late George Christie offering his big radio voice. Special guests included Maureen Leeson, Todd, Lawrie, Danielle Benson, Paul Irvine and multi-instrumentalist and producer Brian Gagnon. Together we created a playlist of pop songs reminiscent of radio of old - with cross fades, stings, commercials and wicked catchy pop tunes.
