Marangaroo,WA. Ok so this is my mums place, overrun with couch grass. She wants to level it and brick it. I want to convince her to plant a garden! I have found two methods to eradicate the couch. Chickens and solarising. I would fence the chickens in the area during the day with appropriate shade and all they need. Or for solarising I can cover the are with clear plastic for 3 months over summer. I would love to Think the chickens would work but still havent found proof. I wont sheet mulch or dig it out. Done that and I will never get those weeks back! Anyone have experience with this?
