March 10, 2014: Day 6, Monday of the First Week of Lent I read an article that Sr. Mary Thomas Noble O.P. wrote. It is about Holiness Becomes Happiness.. on the mount of the beatitudes (my honey and I have been in the mount of beatitude in 1998, it was quite an experience to be at this holy ground! Details of our personal experiences will be shared personally to you all later) Christ gave us eight shortcuts to it. And lest we forget, He wrote them on our hearts with the grace of His Holy Spirit. Today we can reach out and touch God in our family circle, in a hungry child, a refugee, a prisoner, in a lonely old woman who lives next door, or difficult colleague. It is himself we encounter now, always and everywhere. As often as you did it for one of my least brothers of mine, you did it for me. Christ has empowered us. Today, holiness is at our fingertips. And my prayer: Jesus, help me be willing to convert some of my comfort time for myself into time for others, and by this sacrifice to find you in the process.
