March 24 - 30 Challenge: Fiber. Strive this week to get enough fiber in your diet. You can find varying recommendations all over, but the most common two are: to eat 14 g of fiber per 1,000 calories; or around 25g for women & 38 g for men up to 50 yrs old. 51 yrs.+ are 21g for women & 30g for men. These recommendations come from the USDA, American Heart Association, the Institute of Medicine, MayoClinic, & Aerobics and Fitness Association of America so I consider them reliable. I would love you to share ways you incorporate more fiber into your diet!
