Matthew, Part 3. But of That Day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, nor the Son, but the Father, Matthew 24, verse 36. We left yesterday, the prophecy is fulfilled, the temple of Jerusalem, the temple was destroyed. The remark, many false messiahs, and wars, are already partially, passed in the last 2000 years. The breakpoint of the prophecies is in 6c, of Chapter 24, but the end is not yet, then jumps the prophecy, to the end of time. And that is typical for the end-time prophecy in the Bible. The period of the municipality is about beaten, not unusual, because the church is recognized, before erupting the great tribulation. The end is heralded with Matthew 24 verse 7 and 8, as Jesus speaks of contractions, who initiated the birth of the Messianic kingdom. With those contractions, is meant the end of time, so the Great Tribulation, and the run-up, there. Which will characterized by global conflicts: (verse 7a), famines and increasing natural disasters, see verse 7b. Therefore will they call for a world leader who can put an end to the chaos, and that is the antichrist. This can be found in verses 9 to 12, the time of the Antichrist and the Tribulation. We have already written earlier, the emergence of the modern Israel, nearly 2,000 years after the fall, a seemingly dead fig tree comes to life. Today, in the year 2014, we are shortly before the prophecy of verse 7a, peoples and kingdoms will battle against each other. The contractions, are at the door, because A: the people of Israel, is back in the promised land. B: The signs, which is at hand, the arrival of the Antichrist, are increasing. C. It will take place, more and more disasters, and on a larger scale. And then we read Matthew 24 verse 34 , Verily I say unto you , This generation shall not pass , till all these things be fulfilled . The footsteps of the Messiah are coming. This all looks back on the prophetic signs. Which concern two periods. The first prophecies, Matthew 24, verses 1 to 6 are fulfilled. The second series, looks at the end-time. In both cases, Jesus foretells that those prophecies will be fulfilled within a generation. The question is, how long it takes a generation. On that, is currently, so many struggles, so we will not interfere. It could be 40 or 50 years, up to even as much as 100 years. We also do not know what is the starting point for the calculation. Some call the foundation of Israel in 1948. Others, the conquest of Jerusalem in 1967. If we take the date of 1967 enters into consideration, the year 2067. We adhere to Matthew 24 verse 36 . It makes no sense to speculate. Yet it is clear that the coming of our Lord is very near. The signs which precede His coming, speak volumes. Who listens, hears the footsteps of the coming Messiah, Jesus Christ. Matthew 24 verse 35, Heaven and earth shall pass away , but My words shall not pass away. You can also say: Whatever happens, the prophecy will be fulfilled. It is a repetition of Matthew 5 verse 18 , For verily I say unto you , Till heaven and earth pass , one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pas from the law , till all be fulfilled. Amen !
