May 23, 2013 A 58-year-old woman was arrested after she allegedly threatened a social worker earlier this week with a kitchen knife, police said. Shortly before 11 a.m. on Monday, the Los Angeles County social worker stopped by Vicki Lumley’s home to discuss placing her under conservatorship, said Burbank Police Sgt. Darin Ryburn. During an explanation of the process, Lumley reportedly got angry and retrieved a knife from her kitchen, while the worker tried to calm her down, Ryburn said. Lumley then allegedly walked toward the worker with the knife and demanded she get out of the house. Fearing for her safety, the social worker ran outside and called police, Ryburn said. Lumley was arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. She is being held in lieu of $45,000 bail and is due in court next month.
