McCAMPBELL Family & Friends, On Friday, August 16, we held a Command Picnic in which family and friends of McCAMPBELL Sailors were invited. Many attended and had a wonderful time. I’d like to extend a special thanks to the CPO Mess and the Chief Petty Officer Selects for organizing the picnic and cooking the food, which was a big hit with all. During the picnic, our fantastic Ombudsman Team (Mrs. Melissa Folk and Mrs. Mary Jordan) and superb Family Readiness Group Board (Mrs. Jamie Kanell-Barry, Mrs. Anastasia McCoy, Mrs. Kasey Denton, and Mrs. Nikki Maxey) provided great information to all of the crew and families in attendance. Additionally, in early August during the Yokosuka Base Friendship Day celebration, our FRG team ran a McCAMPBELL Booth in which they raised money to support FRG events for Sailors and families. Thank you to all of the volunteers who came out to support! Thanks again to all who made the picnic as well as the friendship day events so outstanding!
