Me in the cap, staring at and admiring the Bolt concept car. (I want one so bad, and the janitorial crew had to come and clean up my drool as I stood here like Pavlovs Dog)... Three days in Detroit at the show, on an unplanned trip here, I come away amazed at the brilliance of what GM has done with the 2016 Volt and especially with what I hope will actually be seen one day on our roads called a Bolt, yet Im also feeling deflated as I realize I live in a dead zone where Chevrolet dealerships are bailing out on the Volt (mine did) and likely will never stock nor sell nor support EVs. I suppose Tim Mahoney is right in his thought and comment We will fish, where there are fish because he too realizes large parts of the Heartland of the United States is a dead-zone (Google dead zone and it suggests an ecological area in ocean waters where oxygen no longer exists...) I hope the Volt continues to do well where there are fish and suspect since my dealership has abandoned the idea of having these on their lot, my 2015 Volt will become a relic here in this dead zone I live in.
