Mechanical Design Engineer / Research & Development / Heat and Power Job title – Mechanical Design Engineer Salary - £10 - £14.50ph Negotiable depending on skills and experience Location – Sheffield Duration – Contract for 3 months, potential of extension Hours – 8.30am – 4.30pm Monday to Friday Benefits – Free car parking, 28 days paid annual leave This position will give the successful candidate an opportunity to work with a company in the Sheffield area that are currently developing a CHP appliance. This is very exciting times for the company as they grow and develop their product. The role will include significant research and development content requiring problem solving skills and inventiveness matched to a good understanding of materials and manufacturing methods. The ideal candidate will be proactive and have a structured and systematic approach to their work and be able to work without supervision. Ideally you will have a degree/HND in Mechanical Engineering, however candidates with equivalent knowledge and experience would also be suitable. You will also be proficient in SolidWorks and have the ability to produce detailed manufacturing drawings Any candidates that have experience or knowledge of CHP appliances would be perfect however someone from a Mechanical Design Engineering background will also be considered.
