Meditation on Stormy Day When He imparted weight to the wind And meted out the waters by measure, When He set a limit for the rain And a course for the thunderbolt, Then He saw it and declared it; He established it and also searched it out.(Job 28:25-27) He gives rain on the earth And sends water on the fields,(Job 5:10) He wraps up the waters in His clouds, And the cloud does not burst under them. He obscures the face of the full moon And spreads His cloud over it.(Job 26:8-9) He causes the vapors to ascend from the ends of the earth; Who makes lightnings for the rain, Who brings forth the wind from His treasuries.(Psalm 135:7) Who covers the heavens with clouds, Who provides rain for the earth, Who makes grass to grow on the mountains.(Psalm 147:8) When He utters His voice, there is a tumult of waters in the heavens, And He causes the clouds to ascend from the end of the earth; He makes lightning for the rain, And brings out the wind from His storehouses.(Jeremiah 10:13) They came to Jesus and woke Him up, saying, Master, Master, we are perishing! And He got up and rebuked the wind and the surging waves, and they stopped, and it became calm. And He said to them, Where is your faith?
