Mega loads. If there was any evidence that showed moving huge chunks of steel up hwy 12 caused mass damage to the environment I would be first in line to block it. Truth is there is no evidence. The opposite is fact. The moving company improved the road at their expense. They only moved at night during low traffic. They created jobs in the process. There is more hazardous cargo in those 48 ft. tankers than there are in these loads. Opposition is based on ideology and myth. Environmentalist want to stop the XL Pipeline and the dirty business of producing oil to be less dependent on foreign producers. What would happen if one of those loads were to roll into the river would be it would provide structure for fish habitat. What would happen if a 48 ft tanker loaded with 15000 ga. of diesel rolls off? Fish die for 100 miles. Stop allowing environmentalists to destroy our economy.
